Her steps were cautious, her position low to the ground as she crept forward, eyes sharp and locked on the object of her stalk. The abyssinian tom, who looked so like her brother, sat on the rock, looking up at the stars as though he were just waiting for her, as he used to in their training just a few moons ago. Carelessly, she swept her tail around again and it brushed against the bush, rustling it. She paused, and Scourgestar turned his head, but returned his thoughts to the sky once more.
She let loose a silent breath of air, and continued forward slowly. Coming free from the cover, she slid up silently to the rock, pawsteps silent on the soft sand, and bunched up her back legs in preparation to leap the rock, and Scourgestar himself. </div></td><td rowspan="2" width="43" height="407"></td></tr><tr><td width="422" height="140"></td></tr></table>

"You may not be able to feel the wind, Echowing, but the wind can still feel you and it carries your scent to me slowly but evidently," She smiled slightly and lept lightly up onto the rock to stand next to her former mentor. It seemed years ago that she had been an apprentice, though barely a moon had passed since her ceremony. She purred for a moment, nudged the leader's shoulder fondly, and looked up at the sky.
"Yeah well the wind can go bugger itself." She muttered under her breath, only half serious. Glancing up at the sky again, she pondered for a moment what the leader had been thinking about. "You're not worried about anything are you? Everything has been so peaceful..." </div></td><td rowspan="2" width="43" height="407"></td></tr><tr><td width="422" height="140"></td></tr></table>

S C O U R G E S T A R " The tone of his voice was a little deeper than before but he had no question to get snippy with her. Questions were necessary to grow in this lifetime. " No, you are absolutely right, everything is calm and at peace and there is nothing to fear. Your guard must never be completely put down, though." The tom cat was smarter than those around his age. He had never been average, though, and he quite liked that. It could very well be the reason that he had managed to survive his tormenting childhood with his neurotic mother. Looking to Echowing once more, he took notice of the dehydration on her face. Her nose was not moist and, now that he looked closer, her eyes were not glistening as much as they normally did. Scourgestar rolled his shoulders back, taking a deep breath, " You need some water." And with that he nudged her off the rock and into the small pool below.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]

She was filling out at last, no longer the awkward kitten she used to be, and she was glad. "Well of course. Leaders are soul-less monsters, you're not allowed to do anything but worry about war." She laughed lightly, and wrapped her tail around her paws.
With his comment, she laughed. Like she didn't know. Her mouth was bone dry, she'd just been too busy to be bothered. She frowned though, and looked at him quizzically. "Water? What's that? I don't think I've ever had that befor... oh you mean that thing I've been drinking my entire life?" She began to laugh, but it was broken off suddenly when the tom shoved her into the lukewarm water. Yowling loudly and dragging herself from the pool, sopping wet and looking thoroughly bedraggled, she glared up at him with huge hazel eyes, "I'm so angry I could just hug you." She growled, and lept back up onto the rock, spraying water droplets everywhere as she jumped for Scourgestar intending to soak him with her own fur. </div></td><td rowspan="2" width="43" height="407"></td></tr><tr><td width="422" height="140"></td></tr></table>

S C O U R G E S T A R " small specks of spittle flew from his tongue as he spoke in a snarl. Her growl made his hairs stand on end but, at the same time, his smile only got bigger, nearly touching the corners of his eyes in an unnatural way. Scourgestar was difficult to read and he liked that about himself, and was proud of the fact that he'd been able to keep up the mysterious mask for a couple of years now. He saw nothing wrong with being mysterious, mysterious was sexy under the definition of his own book. Echowing sprang up a single, powerful leap like he had taught her to and felt cool drops of water hit his face. His whiskers twitched, and his tail puffed out instinctively. " I'm all set. Maybe later, though." As the tom cat tried to slip away like he had never been there to begin with she jumped at him in all her wetness. " Ack, get off!"[/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]

The sunlight glinted off the copper tint of her fur, the dark water making it look shiny and slick. Making a face slightly, she turned back to Scourgestar and scowled. "You know, if I smelled that badly you could have just said so." She continued licking, moving to her chest and front legs.
Finally done, she shook her back legs and tail out and turned back to the leader once more. He so reminded her of her brother and sister. They shared the same colors, the same bones, half the time she'd wondered if perhaps they were distantly related. It wouldn't surprise her, a lot of the cats were somehow related even if not closely. "So when do I get an apprentice." She said suddenly, the words popping from her mouth before she could contain them. A silly question that she already knew the answer to. "You'll get an apprentice when you're ready for one, Echowing, Starclan help us all." Her mother had told her when she was no more than a few moons old and had asked the same question. </div></td><td rowspan="2" width="43" height="407"></td></tr><tr><td width="422" height="140"></td></tr></table>
