- mosspaw - Mosspaw just had opened her eyes and already the sun set to task infecting her eyes with a clear and terrible light that seemed to pierce through her entire pelt. The air had a small bite to it and it made Mosspaw cold, already she had tried to refuse going out for dawn patrol to retain heat in her withered body. It hadn't gone over too well.
Looking over to the side of the camp, The last thing she wanted to do was stick her paws in ice-cold water looking for fish, the thought haunted her and her eyes widened ever so slightly as she imagined the frigid bitterness of the liquid seeping and lacing itself into her small veins. Even though she was taught to swim, the water always scared her just a small bit. Other cats milled around the camp, many sitting and eating bits of fresh-kill that was caught for them by presumably loyal clan members, who could go and deal with a little water.
And so, being the brave cat that she was, Mosspaw decided to risk the cold and get food for her clan, her shaking paws just managing to carry her out through the camp entrance.

Iceshadow had gone about his morning routine as usual, tending to be one the earlier risers amongst the warriors. He'd been making the trip back and forth from the water's edge, bringing back fish for his hungry clan mates. Ice had always been a skilled hunter, and found the peaceful silence of early morning to be the perfect time to gather his thoughts.
The siamese colored tom was making his way back with another fish when he spotted the young female heading his way. Ice paused for a moment, blues eyes blinking with a curious spark as the warrior eyed her determined face and uneasy gait. He set down the fish and stretched his lean frame, simply waiting until she came closer within earshot. No need to startle the others from their breakfast. "By the look on your face one would assume your out to catch the entire seasons worth on your own.." His tone was smooth but good natured, and he simply waited for her answer. |

- mosspaw - Mosspaw looked up surprised, she hadn't expected to see the tom-cat behind her, his gleaming eyes staring own her own. He was leisurely strolling through the dense trees, soft paws hardly making a sound as her clawed his way over muddy ground. "By the look on your face one would assume your out to catch the entire seasons worth on your own.." his voice startled her and brought her out of her own world.
"It seems that way, doesn't it?" Mosspaw tried to manage a friendly smile, still searching the forest for a sound of anything moving under the hedges and brush. "I just want to be a warrior faster, that's all." she looked down back at the ground and continued to stalk around again, only once more looking up at the tom, waiting for what he would say. She expected another smooth, witty remark. Maybe he was more than he seemed though, not just an awful cat that treated others like pieces of prey. Plenty of those were common and Mosspaw couldn't help but despise all of them.
